How Sanctum Began

Sanctum didn't start as a business idea. It started as a shared realization between two women building lives in the hustle and bustle of New York City.

We had both seen different versions of the same thing:

People who were driven, capable, and doing all the right things…yet still feeling disconnected from themselves and craving something deeper.

And while wellness spaces existed, they often felt incomplete.

The most meaningful experiences required leaving your life behind, and the ones within the city rarely created space for real depth or connection.

So we started asking: What would it look like to create something that actually meets people where they are?

Sanctum was born from that question.

A space designed for real life.

Where people can slow down, reflect, and reconnect. In community.

We’re not here to offer an escape.

We’re here to create experiences that help you return to your life more grounded, more aware, and more connected than before.

Our mission

To create space within New York City for people to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and each other.

We design intimate, intentional retreat experiences that go beyond surface-level wellness, offering depth, community, and practices that actually shift how you live your day-to-day life.

Our vision

A world where transformation doesn’t require escape.

Where people feel grounded, self-aware, and deeply connected, not just when they leave their lives behind, but within them.

Our vision is to redefine what wellness looks like in New York, moving beyond quick fixes toward experiences that are grounding, connective, and deeply human.

Meet the Creators

Clara Love

Clara’s path into wellness began in the corporate world, where high performance and constant pressure often come at the expense of well-being. After years in corporate strategy, including her time at Bain, she saw firsthand how deeply people craved a different way of living, yet rarely had access to the tools or spaces to truly support it.

When she began integrating stillness into her own life, everything shifted. Her focus, health, and sense of self became clearer and more grounded. Today, she brings both her strategic lens and personal practice into Sanctum, building experiences that help people integrate real, lasting wellness into their everyday lives.

Outside of Sanctum, Clara is a curve model in NYC, passionate about empowering women to see their own beauty. She finds grounding in hot yoga, long walks in nature, and quiet moments of rain meditation.

Amber Booker

Amber entered the wellness space after experiencing burnout and extreme stress that left her feeling deeply disconnected from herself and her life. What began as a personal turning point became a path forward, and over the past five years, she has worked as both a health coach and yoga instructor.

Through her work, she’s seen how many people are searching for something deeper than quick fixes or surface-level stress relief. They want real change, and intentional community.

Amber brings a grounded, approachable presence to Sanctum, creating spaces that feel welcoming, supportive, and rooted in meaningful connection. Her favorite practice is yin yoga, and she loves to travel, having explored and taught yoga in X countries around the world. She is also the creator of the Airplane Mode and Cafe Soul event series in NYC.
